Hi All,

I have been talking to David our Landlord re this months flying event re the crops and flying rockets.

He’ slightly concerned about the rockets as has been very dry recently and as the crops are still in the field.  However he says it’s OK if it’s damp and Saturday's forecast is rain!!!!

So please can you all be aware of a possible cancellation.

Kind Regards

Paul

Only i might be bringing two friends and would like to let them know.
cheers

(if it's cancelled, anyone fancy meeting up in the local for lunch instead?)

Hi All,

As we have had rain over the last few days and rain planned for Saturday we will plan to "Fly" on Sunday but if the crops are still dry when we turn up on Sunday morning we will call it off.

Kind Regards

Given how dry it was when I was down in Essex last weekend, can't say I blame the farmer for being worried.

Matt - too right, if its cancelled, lets at least commiserate with a beer, chat and copious amounts of food ;-)

08/08/10 Launch Canceled

Hi Folks,
I have just spoken with Paul and unfortunately I have to report that todays launch meeting has had to be canceled due to the increased risk of fire damage.

See you all at the Midland Sky event in September

All the best

It was a shame that the launch was cancelled, but the field was very dry, and one hot rocket would have set them on fire.
Instead, a fair bit of rocketry chat was had, and there were two new people who turned up. hopefully they can return for our next meeting Midland Sky, which looks to be great.

The only positive thing about the cancellation was it got me out of a spot of bother.

I got my weekends all muddled up and we ended up with visitors today, and I would have been in trouble if I had gone to fly ;-0)
